Make it a gift
I have been busy lately, preoccupied with other things that are challenging mentally and emotionally.
Anyway...what do you do?or how would you feel if someone took something from you without you knowing it?what do you call this?stealing?
Yeah..I have anticipated the answer...you get resentful, you get angry and you get vengeful...how dare you?????I want it back!!!!
Since now we are in the month of Ramadhan...the month of giving and forgiving...I have an idea...instead of getting angry and vengeful...smile and say your gratitude, thank GOD and make it a gift to that person...in your mind with spirit, with your feelings and with your heart, change that theft into a gift that you have given to them...give it freely and don't expect it back...think about the situation...that person must have really needed it badly.
If some one's willing to take something from you, then they must have needed it worse than you do...and it is horrible. You don't have to be angry at them..it is their call..they made their bed and they are going to deal with that, and you have to deal with you...bless that gift and God blesses you in return...be grateful and you will be rewarded in return...of course you are not going to get back the same or similar item but sometimes you get something else for free...free services, free lunch ,free dinner......when you give, you get!
For the month of Ramadhan...there is this special kind of giving, giving that is required, giving that blesses your entire life and that is tithing...Zakat fitrah!
Zakat Fitrah is RM7 per head this year and please don't see it as a burden...pay your due with gratitude...
Until my next posting, remember when you give freely, you are creating a flow of abundance into your life, live with passion and take care.

Go The Extra Mile
I have not blogged for a while now..been busy with other things and I think the writer's block still hovering over my head!Still looking for the best motivating factor to keep me going...
Today is the only 3rd day of fasting but I already started preparing for the much awaited 'Hari Raya'.I started my Ramadhan with spring cleaning of the house on 2nd day...now spring cleaning to me has to be very thorough...from top to bottom and it was real tiring...and to tell you the truth I am not even half way through it yet...i guess it would go on until the end of Ramadhan, doing bits by bits at spare time..such as at night after all the other essentials business has been attended to..
Having gone through the process of spring cleaning thoroughly...I remember something about going the extra mile. What I am basically doing is going extra mile for the family and myself...of course the easiest and simplest way to do this would be, to get on the phone and get or hire someone to do it...but I prefer to do it my own for many reasons, one being that the other party is not willing to go the extra mile despite extra payment!
What exactly is going the extra mile?It means the rendering of more and better service than that for which one is paid and giving it in a positive mental attitude.
Whenever I am dealing with other people,I could sensed whether they are sincere in what they are doing or just thinking about the reward at the end of the month...I used to tell them to work from the heart..because if one is sincere in one's dealings, one is prepared to go the extra mile anytime anywhere..you are doing it because you love it..it could be anything like treating patient, governing the office, collecting the toll or even cleaning the house..lots of people leave cleaning of the house to maids, be it live in or hired on hourly basis..but I find that many of them are not doing the job from the heart...not sincere and just doing 'The Job',therefore I was never satisfied with their finished product..
I rather do the cleaning myself...tiring but satisfaction guaranteed!
work as if you have no need of the money...
love as if nobody ever made you suffer...
dance as if no body is watching you...
sing as if nobody is hearing you...
live as if the paradise is here on earth...
Until my next posting, serve humanity by being genuine and authentic, live with passion and take care.

Money Leaks
It seemed last month the economic situation was improving but this month it seems to be a little bit unstable and fluctuating..anyway I am quite sure both have impact on many people, be it positive or negative...depends on what you do or did...of course to be in the winning situation, one has to hold or to buy more when the price is down and maybe to sell when the price is up...
Have you heard of money leaks...I am a medical doctor and not a CFP, but i don't think it is wrong to be sharing with you all, what little but sound knowledge I have learned about managing our finances...sharing with you all is akin to reminding myself about this thing...
How money leaks happen and how to cure it?
- Carrying monthly credit card balance is costly, therefore make an effort to pay off your credit card balances in full every month. If you have substantial balance, refrain from putting new expenses on the card.Try to live within budget, remember the seven cures to lean purse I shared with you earlier...try to live within budget which should be within 90% of your income.
- Purchasing things you don't need!We all have done it...buying on impulse during sales just because these things are on sale for 70% discount. We always think it is simply too damn cheap to pass up...and leave this thing collecting dust in the store at home...let us evaluate the necessity of a purchase before getting caught up in the discount.Sometimes we also buy things in bulk and realised they are near expiry or already expired before we are able to use them and have to be tossed off.Tossing things off also translates as money down the drain.
- Unnecessary expenses like membership or recreational items or services that we never really use...maybe it is time to consider cancelling them...
- Review your budget to see where you can cut corners or perhaps even a potential leaks...like do we have to spent RM30-50 on cigarettes every month?or RM50 to watch movie every month?hiring DVD maybe a cheaper option...
- Review your insurance payment and find out which payment option is cheaper.Paying quarterly or biannually are probably cheaper compared to paying monthly...no harm asking and you don't lose anything but probably have something to gain...
Until my next posting, beware of your financial wound, live with passion and take care.

Discourse on Loving Kindness
I missed yesterday's blogging session...i try to write daily, but yesterday.. i had what you might called a writer's block..no matter how hard i tried i was unable to bring myself to write something..i guess yesterday was not my day..
Anyway, remember the saying: forgive and forget? Some of you may say..easier said than done!of course it is...on most circumstances! However my dear friends...negative emotions such as anger, frustrations, hatred etc have physical consequences such as high blood pressure and if these feelings are not resolved early, can lead to state of chronic stress.Chronic stress in turn, leave door opened to other illnesses. You may say a vicious cycles has been created unless you take action to break the pattern which is getting rid of that negative emotions residing within you...by forgiving and hence forgetting!
By forgiving, you are doing yourself a favour by freeing yourself of these negative emotions and harmful energies..forgiving someone does not mean you approve their actions or letting them off hook easily....
Let us all get inspired by this Poem.....by Buddha.
Discourse on loving kindness
Let your love flow outward through the universe,
to it's height, to it's depth, to it's broad extent....
A limitless love, without hatred or enmity....
Then as you stand or walk, sit or lie down...
As long as you are awake....
Strive for this with a one pointed mind....
Your life will bring heaven to earth.
Until my next posting, free yourself of negative emotions, live with passion and take care.

We are the creator of our own life
I just saw a friend who told me that the economy is still bad, that someone known to her has been jobless for past 4 months.
I also know someone who is unhappy at his work place. My heart goes to these people. To tell you all, the truth,I never really realized how bad the situation is...i know people who got promoted in their job and had salary increment..I also see new cars emerging on the road everyday..and I am not talking about national car..I saw expensive imported car emerging on the road daily?don't you all notice?or maybe I have more opportunity to observe coz I commute on congested roads daily...Even my neighbours are changing their car like it has become a new fashion...
Anyway,to the majority of people affected by poor economy, I would like to say..when life give you lemons, make lemonade.Think about this when tests and difficulties found their ways into your life.It helps keep a clear perspective. It helped me remember that I am here to grow and to learn...and sometimes the only way to do that is to make lemonade...make the best of bad situation.Always remember that we are the creator of our own life and experiences.
Until my next posting, remember that your life is nothing more than a reflection of your current level of thinking..change your thinking and you change your life, live with passion and take care.

Creation of God
Today is Wednesday and we are almost halfway through the weekdays. Are we feeling better than the beginning of the week i.e Monday??Whatever you are feeling, just remember that life is really an art in creating balance...having enough food, enough sleep, enough play and love.
At heart, we are simple creatures that want peace of mind and heart filled with positive energy...
Whenever you can,do something for yourself.Don't hang around waiting for someone to buy you flowers and make you happy...you can do it yourself.Start treating yourself to small inexpensive things whether it's succulent fruit, your favourite drinks or scent. You don't need an excuse to pamper yourself.
We only have one life and it can be as rich and exciting as you want it to be...
The principle of buying yourself your own flower applies to every aspect of your life...
You don't need anyone to tell you, you are beautiful, just start believing it,don't let anyone tell you what is perfection...you are a perfect creation of God...
Until my next posting, remember that wealth and money are not an end in themselves, they are just the mean to bring you joy, happiness, well being and peace of mind....live with passion and take care.

DEVELOP NEW SUCCESS HABITS
Did anyone know that 90% of behaviour is habit and our current level of success or life are produced by our current habits?
Thus,if you are not happy with your current situations, level of income?the relationship you are in?your job?anything at all, then all you have to do is replace your old habits with new ones, new habits that will lead to type of life you dreamed about, level of success you want...
We can start off by developing or replacing one old habit with new one for a week or month depending on how fast you adopt the new habit...say we commit to develop 4-5 new empowering habits a year..only needed is commitment that you must changed...
lets start by few simple habits...
- returning calls within 24 hours
- eating healthy food
- being on time at all time
- reading for an hour a day
- saving 10% of your income regularly every month
- getting adequate sleep and forget the late night partying..
Remember this: Robert J Ringer says 'success is a matter of understanding and religiously practising specific habits that always lead to success'
Until my next posting, remember that positive habits create positive consequences, live with passion and take care.

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER ALL OVER AGAIN
Hi everyone,
Today is Monday and it is not an easy day to go through..I don't know about you, reader out there, but for me,going through Monday successfully without a hitch is tough.I think even the most enthusiastic person would have it rough on Monday. Why is it so?Any idea?I think whatever it is, they are inside our head, within the faculty between the 2 ears..we have always associated Monday with blue or rough or tough day....hence the perceptions and the attitudes that go with it ...we may be able to change that by associating Monday with something positive...like the beginning of new beginning?the beginning of eternal happiness, the beginning of a beautiful fruitful week...
Anyway..don't despair,i have something to cheer you up and chase your Monday blues away.......Here goes:
if i had my life all over again.....
i would have invited friends over for dinner,
even if the carpet was stained and the sofa faded....
i would have eaten the popcorn in the good living room,
and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light fire in the fireplace....
i would have listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth....
i would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed....
i would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a Rose before it melted in the storage....
i would have sat in the lawn with my children and not worried about the grass stains....
i would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life...
i would have gone to bed when i was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into holding pattern if i weren't there for the day....
i would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil or was guaranteed to last lifetime....
instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy I'd have cherished every moment realizing that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle....
when my kids kissed me impetuously i would never have said 'later, now go get washed up for dinner'....
there would have been more' i love you's'and more' i am sorry's'....
but mostly, given another shot of life,i would seize every minute look at it and really see it, live it and never give it back....
Until my next posting, appreciate life, enjoy the present,do not worry about the future and do not dwell about yesterday, live with passion and take care.

DON'T BE TENSION
Today is Saturday and for most people,Saturday is a non working day, which meant it is a sleeping in day...but for some 'unfortunate' people like me...it is just another working day.Well..surely,we can sleep a little longer, leave the house a little later because the traffic is normally a little lighter on Saturday but very occasionally one would ran a little late and suffers a little consequences which is a little less money or salary being cut a little.Loads of little huh...read on and you will find your stress and tension a little less than when you started your morning with a scream AAAArrrrhhhhhgggggggggggggggggggggggggg!
To make your day even brighter...lets share this wonderful poem;
DON'T BE TENSION
The moment you are in tension
You will lose your attention
Then you are in total confusion
And you'll feel irritation
This may spoil your personal relation
Ultimately you won't get co operation
And get things into complication
Then your BP may raise caution
And you may have to take medication
Why not try understanding the situation
And try to think about the solution
Many problem will be solved by discussion
Which will work out better in your profession
Don't think it is my free suggestion
It's only for your prevention
If you understand my intention
You'll never come again into tension!!!!
Until my next posting, learn to deal with your stress effectively, live with passion and take care.
